I'm a 40-something year old Retired Nurse...living way out in the mountains. I've always loved nature, and I really love trees! I love them for their colorful display in the fall...I love their protection from wind and rains...and I love the way they smell as they come out of the sawmill!
I started knapping flint into knife blades about 7 years ago, and it was the making of the wooden knife handles that drew me to woodworking.
Now, I'm addicted to the sawdust! I love to carve spoons and bowls, shape wooden centers for my pine needle baskets, hand mill arrow shafts from lumber and saplings, and still shape knife handles for my flint blades. Recently, I've added some Grizzly power tools to the shop, and hope to learn joinery for simple boxes, display cases, who knows what's next, right? You LJ's have an infectious way of sharing knowledge...I wanna try all the projects you share!!! Keep it up, and I'll try to catch up as fast as I can...
