Retired from work to become a full time carer to my 92 year old frail aged Mother. I love Wood Work but really know nothing about the subject, but I am trying. I don't get a lot of time to fiddle about in my Wood Shop as my care duties must come first.
So far I have a nice Wood Lathe, A Band Saw and an assortment of blades which would cover resawing quite large and hard wood timber and some really fine blades for band saw boxes. After seeing Steve Ramsay making a band saw box I was hooked and want to make one. My table saw is not bad, nothing fancy but for me a prized possession. What else, oh yes, a grinder, a standing drill press and a really strong work bench which I am really proud of as I built it myself and although it may not be totally plumb, its strong and will take a good thumping.
I was given a 30 year old Makita Router that was still in the box and never been used, so I bought a Kregg Router table, you know the big blue one on a stand ? Thats the one and fitted locking casters, Wow! I can't wait to use it. Even the smell of cut timber and the transformation of a rough old bit of wood that becomes a thing of beauty when re sawn fills me with joy, so maybe in time I will learn enough to attempt some very basic projects.

Greetings from Australia and Happy Wood Working to Everyone.

Kind regards,

Cliff (CEEGO)
